Using Denys Lasdun’s ‘ziggurat’ halls of residence blocks as performative objects, Zigg a zigg ah documents student activity within these listed buildings.  To participate in this exciting Ziggurat Flash Art performance, student residents were asked to turn their room lights on and off once at 4.45pm on Monday 21st January.

In coordinating the switching on of lights, Proctor explores this architecture as an inhabited space that is frequently alive with activity. The film investigates the repetition of student action and hints towards the generations who have populated the campus space.
